There's plenty of live music happening all weekend long during ArtsFest!
For starters, keep an eye out for the “Songcatchers Community Music Pop-Up” throughout New Rochelle! Songcatchers -- the nonprofit organization that provides affordable access to high quality music education for children and families -- will have musicians of various levels playing at outdoor locations. Use the QR code at left to find live music in unexpected places all over town.

ArtsFest Kick Off Concert with Andromeda Turre

ArtsFest 2024 will kick off with a free concert by Andromeda Turre, the award-winning jazz singer and composer who hosts her own show on Sirius XM radio. Turre’s talents have taken her around the world, performing with the likes of Ray Charles and Michael Buble, and she is an accomplished composer: Andromeda’s original works are featured in film, television, and video games. Committed to using her art for positive change, her latest project, From the Earth, is a jazz suite illuminating environmental justice and the interconnected relationship between humans and the earth. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a pre-concert reception.

Bear Mountain Brass band at the Classic Car Show
(Hamilton Avenue Parking Lot, North Ave. at Hamilton, adjacent to City Hall)
Car show to be enjoyed by one and all from 11 am to 4 pm. Explore the evolution of the automobile through an eye-catching bevy of classic auto beauties (on exhibit by invitation only) with rollicking live music by Bear Mountain Brass Band from 12 to 2 pm. (Rain Date: Sunday, October 20th.)

Mudsole at the Artsfest Makers Market

This market on the grounds of the historic Thomas Paine Cottage (across from the NRHS tennis courts) will feature dozens of makers selling their creations, food trucks and live music by Mudsole Dixieland Trio from 12 to 2 pm. Plus a visit from the ArtsWestchester ArtsMobile from 1 to 3 pm. (Rain Date: Sunday, October 20th.)

The Global Jazz Community in partnership with the City of New Rochelle presents an afternoon of great jazz with bands including NEA Jazz Master Louis Hayes Quintet, the Rocky Middleton Jazz Ensemble, salsa band Johnny Mambo and Friends, Global Women All Star Band featuring Dinah Vero and Clarissa Sinceno, the New Roc Jazz Experience, and New Rochelle High School's Jazz Ambassadors. An Afternoon of Jazz at Leland Castle
(Masonic Care New Rochelle, 29 Castle Place, NR)
ArtsFest wraps up with an afternoon of jazz at the historic Leland Castle. Refreshments will be available for sale. The castle was built in 1855 as the centerpiece of the 40-acre estate of Simeon Leland; the building later became the centerpiece of the former College of New Rochelle. Today it is part of the Masonic Care Community of New Rochelle, who is hosting this event.
