MAKE A GREAT KOA CHOICE,

FOR YOU!

MILES CITY KOA JOURNEY

Even wonder the differences between the KOA's?

Journey vs Holiday vs Resort?

Here is a brief description of the three to help you choose the right KOA for your travel needs

JOURNEY

A KOA Journey is typically a stopover on your "Journey" to where your travels are taking you. Your stay here is usually 1-3 nights (although can be longer). Journey campgrounds are not required to have as many amenities as Holidays or Resorts, as they know this is a brief stop to your final destination. Journeys price points are lower than KOA Holidays and Resorts because of this fact. You will still be guaranteed bathrooms, laundry facilities, an office/store/giftshop, playground and likely a pool as well.

Journeys are a great stop on your travels as they cover all the bases and needs of every camper at an affordable price!

HOLIDAY

A KOA Holiday is considered to be a destination stop where a camper spends their "Holiday". Your stay here can be weeks long. Holidays are designed so that you don't need to leave them to have all that you need. They provide laundry facilities, bathrooms, office/store/giftshops, playgrounds, simple food services, activities for children, pools, meeting rooms, large outdoor gathering areas for groups and sometimes a putt putt golf course as well. They are normally larger in size with more RV sites, Deluxe cabins and more amenities and activities for children. Because of this their price point is higher as well. You will find a lot of KOA Holidays are located around monuments and National Parks, but not always.

RESORT

A KOA Resort is also a destination stop where a camper can spend their entire holiday. Your stay here can also be weeks long. There are not a lot of KOA Resorts out there compared to Journeys and Holidays. They are required to have robust services and amenities. The atmosphere must radiate a "Resort" feel throughout the park. These parks will be large, with many RV sites, Deluxe RV sites, and Deluxe cabins. There needs to be an activities director and at least 7 recreational activities offered. They must have a large group meeting area, a made-to-order food menu as well as a large pool area and activities for children. Their price point is the highest of the three KOA groups. Again, you will typically find Resorts near monuments or National Parks.

I hope this information helps you on your travels throughout the US and Canada. KOA's are a great choice, no matter which one you choose. Our goal is to create a great camping environment for families as well as solo travelers. We offer a safe place to land and unwind after a day's journey.

I hope everyone is having a great winter and we can't wait for spring to arrive and bring on the camping season!
