At last! This is your opportunity to ADOPT AN ELLIPSE from Al Beadle's iconic White Gates panels!

Gerri Beadle-Murray, daughter of architect Al Beadle, has selected the Shemer Art Center at Arcadia Drive and Camelback Road as the permanent home for architectural elements from the legendary White Gates residence on Camelback Mountain, designed by her father in the 1950s. The donation, arranged by White Gates property owner Yasser Elshair, includes three signature brise-soleil façade panels, steel patio awnings, and three original cement planter bowls — signature elements that defined the home’s elegant modern design.

Plans have been submitted for City approval to build the White Gates Pavilion, a monumental tribute honoring Beadle’s lasting impact on Arizona’s architectural landscape. Designed in collaboration with Mark Tate of Tate Studio, alongside Beadle's associates Ned Sawyer and Rich Fairbourn, the pavilion will anchor the new Al Beadle Sculpture Garden, featuring Beadle’s celebrated sculptures Holy Man and Woman.

BE PART OF SOMETHING MONUMENTAL!

We invite ALL DONORS of $100 or more to Adopt an Ellipse from the iconic Beadle panels. That's right, we will each have secured a piece of Phoenix history by adopting... well... an empty slice of air that is symbolically yours!

The panels include 216 ellipses for the Modern Phoenix community to populate with support and help fill the final gap for construction funds before Shemer breaks ground this Summer.

Please join me as a donor and joyfully close the two-decade journey to protect Al Beadle's masterful design with a donation of $100 or more.

With much love,

Alison King
