This is a great opportunity to learn about A.I. Tools. Don't miss this Register Below!!!

Opportunity Paid for by the Presbytery; Free to Attendees

Using A.I. Tools in the Church

So maybe you’ve heard all the buzz about A.I. in the news over the last year. Perhaps you’re thinking, what is it, what impact does it have on the church, should we be using it, and is it the devil incarnate? If you’ve been asking any of those questions, we have the training for you.

Jason Moore, has been a long time proponent for the use of technology in the church. For decades he’s been leading trainings now he’s helping the church embrace Artificial Intelligence in ministry. Recently, Jason led a workshop for the Center for Congregations on AI and ministry, and now, he will be helping us navigate this new digital landscape with confidence and care in Whitewater Valley Presbytery.

In this training, Jason will walk you through what A.I. is, why we should be using it in the church (with theological underpinnings to back it up), how to use it (and how not to use it), and even where the ethical lines are that we should not be crossing.

If you’d like a broad primer on A.I. to see how it could benefit your ministry, this is for you. Bring your computer and follow along, or just sit back, watch and observe.

CONGREGATIONAL MISISIONS CONTINUE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The Mission & Partnership Team of the Whitewater Valley Presbytery is so energized by the multi-faceted missions that our congregations are engaged in, throughout the year!  You may remember that, in August, we asked each of you to respond to a brief Mission & Partnership Survey, so that we can all truly realize the “collective impact” being made by our Communities of Faith; as well as to seek out possible opportunities of synergistic partnering, between congregations! THANK YOU to those of you who have already responded :

     White Lick, Avon; FPC, Tipton; FPC, Shelbyville; Northminster, Indianapolis; Grace, Fort Wayne; FPC, Anderson; Tabernacle, Indianapolis: Southminster, Wannamaker;

Faith, Indianapolis; FPC, Connersville; United Faith, Fort Wayne; FPC, Muncie; Second Presbyterian, Indianapolis; and Mt. Carmel, Brookville.

Their collective input reflected a range of investment in Missions, coming from their overall congregational budget of from 5% to 22,4% with extremely generous investments in our Mission Partners such as Pyoca, Westminster Neighborhood Services, Hispanic Ministries Leadership Team, and Congo Helping Hands. In addition, these congregations have shared that they are also investing their time, talents and treasure in countless other mission initiatives which allow our Presbytery to be the hands and feet of our Loving Savior, for those most in need!

We would deeply appreciate receiving input from the rest of our member congregations…knowing what a HUGE heart for Missions ALL of you have! Please ask your Clerk of Session or a designee to complete the Mission & Partnership Survey, by clicking on the button below! We would love to have your input by Friday, November 8th!

Blessings to each of you, as we serve our Brothers and Sisters in Christ, showing them the Light of Christ!

Here at Witherspoon, Christian Education is not only theological, it is also cultural.

Our praxis of Christian Education and Faith Formation is inspired by the words of the late Dr. Calvin O. Butts,

for we believe wholeheartedly that “education and faith are the Tigris and the Euphrates of our liberation:

twin rivers at the source of our redemption.”

Join the Witherspoon Family on

Monday, October 28, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM

as we engage in this much-needed and timely discussion around

Democracy, Christian Nationalism, and Project 2025.

We are honored to have Celebrated Author and Noted Scholar,

the Rev. Dr. Marvin A. McMickle as our Guest Lecturer,

which will be followed by an amazing array of community leaders to help further this important discussion.

This event is Free and open to the Public.
