FLINT, MI - The Whiting presents the McLaren Bright Lights and Big Broadway Series for the 2021-2022 season. This season brings five Broadway hits to the stage: Fiddler on the Roof, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Waitress, Jersey Boys, and South Pacific.
Tickets, on sale now, are available as season subscriptions and packages, as well as single ticket sales. Genesee County residents enjoy a 30 percent discount. This program is funded in whole or in part by the Genesee County Arts Education and Cultural Enrichment Millage funds.
The season begins November 26 with the iconic Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof. The show closes at The Whiting on November 28.
January brings audiences the high-energy dancing and stepping of Drumline Live! and the beautiful choreography of Russian National Ballet’s Cinderella. Drumline Live! hits the Whiting stage on January 22, and the Russian National Ballet performs on January 30.
In February, the Whiting welcomes Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Broadway musical Waitress in March. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory runs at The Whiting on February 15 and 16, and Waitress runs on March 25 and 26.
Broadway’s Jersey Boys reaches The Whiting stage in April, followed by Flamenco Vivo, one of the world's most prominent flamenco and Spanish dance companies. Jersey Boys is on April 20, and Flamenco Vivo performs on April 27.
The Whiting season closes with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic South Pacific in May. South Pacific runs on May 6 and May 7.
