Now that the bike lanes have been installed on Jackson, will there be more signage reminding drivers not to park or wait for an extended time in the pickup lane? I have been trapped multiple times by parents who refused to move while waiting for their kids to come out.
The new bike lanes do present a physical challenge when picking up students. I suggest not using the drop-off lane to pick-up your child unless you know they will be out immediately at the last bell.
How can we access the list of clubs? Currently, I am unable to view the WY Club List Google Sheet provided in the beginning of the year.
The current club list can be found here (login with your CPS credentials). Please contact Ms. Smith, Club Coordinator, at kjkielnik@cps.edu with questions.
I receive "absence from class" emails once in a while for one of my children, but have no idea which one. I have to email the school or text my child. Why are the names and class names not included in that email?
Detention assignments are sent as an email through Aspen. Unfortunately, these emails cannot be personalized to the student. Students and parents should check Aspen regularly for attendance and grade information. If a parent needs access to the Parent Portal please email Ms. Sylvia Hernandez at shernandez1@cps.edu.

West Virginia Community Service Trip | |
This past weekend the Habitat for Humanity club sent twenty nine people to West Virginia to spend five days service others. They worked in a food pantry, talked with a women empowerment organization, and assisted a service organization with deep cleaning their building. They also had the opportunity to go hiking throughout the Appalachian Mountains and visit Carnegie Mellon University. Students made this trip possible by fundraising and paying a trip fee of $30. The club was committed to making this trip affordable because often times the price tag that comes with trips can dissuade kids and families for participating. The club will attempt another trip next year. If you are interested please join our Google classroom! Thank you. GC Code: qnrlnpc
