If a student is interested in Physics and also has passed Trigonometry in math, can they study Physics first during Freshman year?
Both Biology and Chemistry are prerequisites for Physics. The Whitney Young Science Department shared course recommendations for next school year in January; your student should reference the email from the science department and talk to their current science teacher with any questions.
Is there a plan to fix the Red House microwave? One of my students says it was broken. Now it turns on, but doesn't warm the food.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will ask our engineers to take a look at the microwave to see if it can be fixed. If not, we will look into replacing it.
My daughter’s coat was lost or stolen along with another classmate's. Is this something that happens often when it is left unattended?
Students lose items each and every day; everything from wallets to jackets, to laptops, to airpods and everything else. More often than not, if the item is left somewhere, someone will take the item to the lost and found. For your awareness, lost and found items can be retrieved on both the second and third floors in the middle of the lunchrooms near the offices. Students can also check in the Main Office to see if their item was turned in there. In any event, students should check in with Mr. Jamison on the second floor and/or Ms. Davis on the third floor if they have lost or misplaced something.

If you have an immediate concern, please contact the Main Office during regular school hours at (773) 534-7500. Submit your question or comment here. | |
