Who Are The People in Our Neighborhood?

The shops at Oak and Gregory have certainly developed into a lively little corner of Kansas City. The biggest change is that the co-owners of Made in KC, Keith Bradley, Thomas McIntyre and Tyler Enders, bought our building and are opening Front Range Coffeehouse & Provisions on the corner. Opening soon, Front Range will feature local coffee and pastries in the morning and switch over to cocktails, wine and beer in the evening. Eclectics' Oak Street neighbor to the south is Sierra Winter Jewelry featuring a collection of high-quality pieces designed by owner, Sierra Otto. Between Sierra Winter Jewelry and Front Range lies Yoga Soul KC, a traditional and inclusive Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga studio owned by instructor Melissa Robbins.

The easternmost shop on the Gregory side is KC Needlepoint owned by Carol Crowe and Polly Kramer. It is a full-service needlepoint shop offering hand-painted canvases and a wide array of threads and finishing services. Next to KC Needlepoint and catering to a wide variety of hair types is Shampoo by LaRon, owned by master stylist, LaRon Green. To round out our little corner of the town is ETC Physical Therapy. Their paramount concern has always been their patients’ comfort and rehabilitation.

At Eclectics we have patiently waited for our neighborhood to be complete! For over 30 years we've been right here with handcrafted, one-of-a-kind wonderful works of art for your body, home and garden. We look forward to celebrating 2022 with you, with creative gifts and cards from off the beaten path!

Adopt a Pet

These wonderful animals need a home! All cuddly, the deer and zebra baby towels by Dian Stanley will wrap your little one in warmth after a bath. This cashmere elephant from Jenny Isenberg, made from a repurposed Madewell sweater, will keep them calm and snuggled-up any time day or night.

Winter Warmth

Keep warm this winter with a beautiful Nuno felted shawl or sweater mittens by Lauri Davidson, or a hand knitted can koozie by Marci Blank. Keep your baby warm with a perfect baby throw by Marne Close. If you want a do-it-yourself project, choose the hand-dyed yarns from Marci, who also knits delightful hats and shawls! And always attach a special wool pin by Marne to any hat, shawl, sweater or blouse to warm it up!

Creative Quest

If you or anyone you know creates wonderful works of art and would like to become either a member or a consignor at Eclectics, monthly jury information can be found at our website at eclecticskc.com.

We are especially looking for functional art and personal care items that we currently do not carry. As you know we only sell quality, handcrafted artwork, primarily for your body, home and garden.

So, pass the word. We look forward to seeing what you send our way!

Toddler Masks

As schools and daycares reopen requiring children over the age of two to wear masks this winter, make it fun! These tiny masks by Jenny Isenberg shout out mask frustration while helping keep those pesky germs at bay. They can be tied comfortably behind the head,

or made to go behind the ears.

At this time we ask all customers to wear a mask at Eclectics to keep everyone safe. If you do not have one, there is a box of disposable masks by the front door for your convenience. Let's stay protected. Thank you.
