CHAMBER TO HOST PIERCE COUNTY EXECUTIVE

Join the Chamber for the 2nd annual Pierce County Outlook luncheon, where Pierce County leaders discuss the outlook for Pierce County in key areas including: public safety and economic & workforce development.

These insights into the Pierce County socioeconomic climate make this an invaluable event for local organizations looking to shape their vision for the coming years.

Program includes an address by County Executive Bruce Dammeier, as well as a panel including Sheriff Paul Pastor and Port Commissioner Don Meyer.

Last week Tacoma City Council interviewed the final 9 candidates slated to temporarily fill the District 2 seat of Robert Thoms.

CITY SEEKS RFP FOR DOME DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT
The City of Tacoma’s Community and Economic Development Department has issued a Request for Proposals for the purchase and development of a 10.6 acre plot of city-owned land near the Tacoma Dome.

The land will be used for “destination entertainment retail.”

ADVOCATE IN WASHINGTON D.C.
T he Chamber will hold its 33rd annual Washington to Washington DC conference in the nation's capital to allow area business leaders and civic officials to participate in meetings with our Congressional delegation, military officials and federal agency representatives.
 
The Chamber delegation will advocate on behalf of a number of issues including transportation, international trade, defense installations, health care and economic development.

​CPT Siemandel, an Information Operations Professional, focuses upon Washington National Guard Public Affairs. He will be delivering an update on recent activities and happenings within the Washington National Guard.
