VOLUNTEER TAILS

See Rescue through the eyes of our volunteers.

GSRNC volunteer, Wes, juggles his time between three of his own dogs, one foster dog and other duties including search and rescue.

CAN YOUR DOG SAY, "CHEESE?"

Wouldn't you love to see your dog on the cover of the 2022 GSRNC alumni calendar? Sure you would! We all have a bit of the stage parent in us when it comes to our fur kids.

This year we'll be doing things a little bit differently by having a cover dog contest! Space will be limited so find a great picture and be ready to nominate your dog when the casting call goes out. If your dog is one of the lucky contestants, you'll need to do some campaigning to be sure you end up with the Top Dog!

Details coming soon....

Stay calm and have fun with your dog!

Here's a GSD memory from Allison, a GSRNC volunteer!

When I moved west to San Francisco 20 years ago, I met my soon-to-be husband’s dog, Heidi. She was the first full GSD I’d ever gotten to know and I fell in love. We used to play Frisbee with her in Lafayette Park, across the street from our apartment. Heidi was very obedient with me but COMPLETELY dialed in to my husband. I was playing with her in the park one day and, just to see what would happen, my husband leaned out of our 6th-floor apartment window, hundreds of yards away on the other side of the street and yelled, “Heidi, sit!” It was barely audible and she couldn’t see him but Heidi planted immediately. It was amazing.

We'd love to share your memory too! Send your GSD story to us at: enewsletter@gsrnc.org.
