SPRINGTIME IS ALMOST HERE!

Did you know it’s a violation of the Wheatland Municipal Code to leave your car or trailer parked on the street for more than 72 hours? Now is the time to do some pre-spring cleaning, as we will be looking for vehicles that are parked too long on city streets this month. This is also a good time to trim your weeds around your property.

WHEATLAND FIRE AUTHORITY PURCHASES NEW SET OF 'JAWS'

Wheatland Fire Authority is responsible for both the City and Plumas-Brophy Fire Protection District for all Fire services. Wheatland Fire Authority has purchased a brand-new set of extrication equipment by means of Yuba County Measure K funding. This new updated equipment will (if needed) be able to rescue anyone that is trapped in both Plumas-Brophy Fire Protection District and the City.

MEET OFFICER JOSEPH CAMPOS

Officer Campos graduated from Wheatland High School in 2010. In 2017, he graduated from the Yuba County Police Academy and began his career at the Wheatland Police Department in 2018. Officer Campos is a Field Training Officer and currently assigned to Wheatland High School as a School Resource Officer when he is not on patrol.

During Officer Campos’ time off, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors, hiking, snowboarding, attending 49er football games, and camping. When you see Officer Campos around town, make sure you say hi.
