What's a "Generation Sunday?"

The next Generation Sunday is October 16 and features pumpkin carving and Fall treats following worship. All the generations worship together in the sanctuary and share in special fellowship afterward. These days are intended for great-grandparents all the way through the youngest little ones. Invite a friend.

Native American Siblings

Northwest Washington Synod met on Sept. 17 to approve two resolutions from Our Savior's regarding support of our native American siblings. One resolution called for support of congressional legislation to create a Truth and Healing Commission to investigate decades of abuses in the Indian Boarding School system. The second was to support the Duwamish tribal nation in their quest for Federal Recognition. Both votes were unanimously in favor. Our thanks to Rick Rouse and participants in last years adult learning class.

Gate Installed at Entrance

Our thanks to the Columbarium Committee and the Property & Grounds for their work to acquire and install gates at both ends of the Columbarium.

The gate is not locked, but is intended to be a visual reminder of the reverence and sacredness of the space. Security has not been a significant concern.

The Columbarium is a place for the cremated remains of members of the Congregation. Have you seen it?

Change for Change

Water wins! Thanks to all who voted at the Change for Change booth on Sunday. Clean water was the clear winner, and we used the last of our change from last year to invest in a well to give people access to safe drinking water. Thanks to all who donated this past year—your spare change changed lives.

Change for Change will be back this year! What good will we do?
