Reflections on a 41-year Teaching Career
Like so many of our educators, teaching has been a lifelong calling for Marcy Stoddard of Slavens K-8. After 41 years in the profession, she's setting down the proverbial chalk and retiring. Watch this Denver7 video featuring this longtime educator and her impact.
Whether this is your last year teaching before retirement, or you're just finishing up your very first year -- we want to share a heartfelt THANK YOU for all that you do for our students. You are helping make brighter futures, and your students will remember your impact for a lifetime to come.

Now that Teacher Appreciation Week is coming to a close, we want to hear how you felt appreciated. Share your stories and photos with us on social media using #DPSLovesTeachers
Honoring Other Members of Team DPS this Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is just one of a few annual celebrations happening this week, and we want to shout out all of these team members who are supporting our schools and making a difference for our students.

May 1 was Principal Appreciation Day: They are at the helm of our schools and keep us all moving forward together. Thank you to our principals for all they do!

May 4 was National Interpreter Appreciation Day: Share a shout out to the professionals who connect those who don't speak the same language and who make such a difference for our families.

Today is National Nurses Day: Thank you to our DPS school nurses for all you do to keep our schools and students healthy! (And be sure to keep the appreciation going on May 11 during National School Nurse Day.)
