(Drumroll) And the Cookie of the Month is...
Snickerdoodle cookie lovers unite! The November Cookie of the Month is Snickerdoodle Caramel Sensation.
This gooey cinnamon sugary cookie melts in your mouth and is the creation of one of our very talented Culinary Students. He took a Snickerdoodle sugar cookie, stuffed it with caramel and rolled it in Cinnamon. It's dangerously delicious!
Oak Grove's Culinary Creations is a vocational program training at-risk and special needs youth for a career in the culinary field. Each month Students design and create their special cookie and ONE is selected for the featured Cookie of the Month sold in the Culinary Creations' bakery. Watch the video and learn more about the program and this month's featured cookie. Congratulations to our Dorm C young man for his amazing creation!

Pies with A Purpose Supports Our Youth and Your Dessert Table!
October was Festival Fun!
Oak Grove held a Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat event with the Residential Program Youth last week.

Like always, the Oak Grove Staff brought their A-game and dressed up alongside the youth. There were games, music, food and so much fun!

Thank you to United Medical Fitness, De Luz Women's Club, and everyone in the community who kindly donated candy. Thank you to Sonya Linden, Leslie Echolds and our Anonymous Angel for providing treats, Culinary Creations Cupcakes and other support for Halloween . We truly appreciate all the support as we help the youth create new fun, positive memories.
Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free.
Red Ribbon Week is a national drug and alcohol prevention program recognized within schools. This year Red Ribbon Week was October 26th - 30th. Oak Grove celebrated with fun dress-up days, classroom door decoration contest, and other activities to promote the theme "Be Happy. BE BRAVE. Be Drug Free."

Oak Grove's Facebook Page hosted different resources for parents looking for ways to talk their kids about drugs and alcohol, including celebrity videos they could use to have a conversation. To check out the resources and learn more, visit our Facebook page.
MISTT Awards
MISTT (Most Improved Student Tales of Transformation) recognizes youth who have made significant progress in their treatment and education.

MISTT recognized five youth in September including two Triple Threat winners. The Triple Threat is awarded for youth who have maintained their progress and have “told their tale” through a video highlighting their transformation. Congratulations to all the MISTT winners for their hard work and determination!

Oak Grove would also like to acknowledge Temecula Sunrise Rotary Club for their ongoing MISTT Sponsorship!
Bring joy to an at-risk child this season. Oak Grove is seeking Angels to adopt a youth's wish list, hold a gift drive, or help one of our low-income families this year. See our Holiday Wish List here.
