The idea for Exotic Home was inspired in January of 1989, when 19 year old Virginia Beach native Mike Day embarked on a hiking trip through Central America. He was unaware of how the colorful textiles and warm smiles of the indigenous Mayans of Guatemala would carve the path of his future and the conception of Exotic Home.

We are a small family business based in the Outer Banks of NC.  Since our beginnings in 1989, Mike and Tiffany Day have built a reputation as one of the main sources for quality furniture and accessories.  From the start, our motto has always been a simple one: Quality, Practicality, Beauty and Affordability.  We design and import furniture  and accessories from around the globe and pair it with some of the best American manufacturers to bring you the one-of-a-kind, Exotic Home!
