Hiring a life coach can be a very important decision, but why would anyone want to hire a life coach? Exactly what is a life coach and what does a life coach do? As life coaching has become a multi-billion dollar industry, these are a few of the questions that many people ask.

There are many reasons why people hire a life coach. I have chosen to list a few top reasons to help you understand the benefits of hiring a certified professional life coach. One of the main reasons why people hire life coaches is for the support and guidance that life coaches offer. if you have a problem, you would most likely want to turn to someone who has experienced the same problem and have overcome the same problem that you are experiencing. Life coaches often specialize in areas of life that they have personally overcome.

As a certified professional life coach with a masters level education in counseling and a lifetime of experience overcoming difficult situations and impossible obstacles, I have chosen to focus my life coaching practice on what I have personally mastered, which is RESILIENCE- the ability to bounce back from difficult and challenging situations.

When life knocks us down, it can be a challenge to get back up.. Even when we do get back up, we somehow seem to have left a part of us on the ground. That part of us that is often left on the ground is the part that we need to keep moving forward with a positive mindset and with continued hope.

We cannot predict the situations that life throws our way, and many times we are simply not prepared for the challenges that we face. We may have experienced the death of a loved one, or we may be experiencing an emotionally painful divorce. We may have been going through life wonderfully and then, without notice, be diagnosed with a medical condition that significantly affects our mobility or our way of life as we know it and we are struggling to hold on to the level of happiness that we experienced before life threw a monkey wrench in our plans.

For these reasons, and for many more, hiring a life coach can be a very beneficial decision. Unlike a counselor, a life coach does not tell their clients what to do, but rather mentor them, support them, guide them, and provide them with the tools that they need to create the life for themselves that they envision in spite of obstacles and/or difficult situations that they face.
