Dear {First Name}
We're Off & Running
I’m excited to announce that I am running for re-election as Charleston County School District Trustee for District 9. On November 3rd, 2026, I will be on the ballot to continue advocating for equity, strong governance, and high-quality public schools.
There are many elementary, middle, high, and magnet schools in Charleston County School District 9. We serve students who live on James Island, Folly Beach, Kiawah, Seabrook, parts of Johns Island, and the Charleston peninsula.
It is an honor to serve my community. Over the past 40 months, our district has made important progress, but there is still work to be done to ensure excellence and opportunity for every student.
Some of our more notable achievements include.
Honoring teachers and staff with salaries that match their experience and qualifications
Planning early childhood centers for James Island and the Charleston Peninsula.
Addressing the academic and mental health needs of all students with appropriate funding.
Governing the school board and district with transparency, oversight, and accountability.
I devoted most of my life to Charleston County schools as a parent, teacher, assistant principal, principal curriculum specialist, constituent board chair, school improvement council member, and school board member. My goal has always been to create schools where children thrive, and educators are supported.
The school board needs educators as decision-makers. The stakes are too high to rely on anything less than informed leadership. If we are to deliver the best for our students, we need school board members with the knowledge, integrity, experience, and commitment to make it happen.
Differing viewpoints are part of public service. I remain focused on fostering collaboration, building trust, and solving problems so the board can stay focused on what matters most--our students.
Personal, political, and ideological agendas do not serve the best interests of our students and teachers. Proven educational practices must guide decisions and what is in the best interests of the students
Five board positions will be on the ballot this year. Let’s elect leaders who will stand up for strong public education and our children.
I need your support. Together, we can build the schools our children deserve.
