APEC Impacts Continue: The Asia-Pacific Economic Corporation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting is being held in San Francisco until this Friday, Nov. 17. Be prepared for traffic and transportation impacts across the city, Bay Area and UCSF continuing through the weekend. UCSF faculty, staff, learners and patients should allow at least 30 minutes extra for commuting to and from UCSF during the APEC meeting. UC Open Enrollment Period Ending Soon: Open Enrollment (OE) for 2024 benefits ends this Friday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m. All Open Enrollment changes must be made on UCPath. There are significant increases in medical plan costs for 2024 and if you have a Flexible Spending account you must re-enroll every year. Learn more »

Text Imposters: IT Security has gotten reports of staff receiving text messages impersonating UCSF leadership, asking the recipient to buy gift cards. This common scam attempts to take advantage of the holiday season when requests for gift card purchases are more common. Anyone receiving suspicious texts is asked to file a report with the IT Service Desk and include a screenshot of the message with the phone number. Contact IT »
