A new WQED documentary about our community airs TONIGHT

WQED will air a new documentary, Why Not Wilkinsburg? , tonight at 8 p.m. and again on Monday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. 

The 30-minute documentary, produced by Wilkinsburg native, Minette Seate, focuses on the challenges our borough has faced over the years and the revival efforts that are beginning to shape the future of our community.

Athena's Fire Fall Concert to Benefit WCDC
Community-based women's singing group will host a benefit concert on 11/14

The community-based women's singing group, Athena's Fire, will host their Fall Benefit Concert next Saturday, November 14. Beginning at 7 p.m., the concert takes place at the Wilkins School Community Center - 7604 Charleston Ave. in Regent Square. 

Donations will be collected at the door, and all proceeds will benefit our work to promote the revitalization of Wilkinsburg as well as the Bartko Foundation's work to advance the self-sufficiency of single minority mothers in our region. Please consider attending and making a donation!
Attention Small Businesses! Apply for a SWOT Analysis
Application deadline is 11/15

A SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis can cost up to $1,250, but the Wilkinsburg Chamber of Commerce Small Business Support Committee is offering a FREE analysis to a selected member small business.

Prepare for Small Business Saturday with FREE marketing materials & resources

The Saturday after Thanksgiving (aka Small Business Saturday ) has become a holiday tradition for people to shop small and support local businesses.  If you're a business owner who is interested in getting involved with Shop Small & Small Business Saturday   this year, now is the time to start preparing!
