Unison Prayer
Almighty and everlasting
God, in whom we live and move and have our being,
you created us for yourself, so that our hearts are
restless until they find rest in you. Grant to us such
piety of heart and strength of purpose that no selfish
passion may hinder us from knowing your will, and
no weakness may keep us from doing it. In your
service may we find perfect freedom. Amen.

Call to Worship:
L: We come from all walks of life: the rich, the poor; the struggling and the secure.
P: And God calls us all.
L: We bring our hearts to this time and place – hearts holding joy and sorrow, questions and wonders.
P: And God knows us.
L: We offer what we have to give: our talents and our imperfections, our faith and our doubt, our hope and our hands.
P: And God loves us.
A: And now in this place, let us worship God with our whole selves. Amen

A Time of Centering Prayer
You are invited to join us ten minutes before our Sunday service for a time of centering prayer. We are taking these few minutes before the service begins to prepare our hearts and minds for worship.
We will meet in the Amaryllis Room. All are welcome.

Covid update

Please be careful, Covid is not done with us, just because we feel done. The new variant is more contagious and is affecting even those who have been vaccinated. Stay home if you are not sure, test if you have symptoms, and a mask is always okay!
Is Pastor Jen confused?

Did you notice the frosty E-Grace header?
I had to do a nod to "Christmas in July" somewhere! It has been hot, but in 5 months, it could look like this! Enjoy each day as it comes and thank God daily!

Plans are being made to re-start the Grace Ministry Teams!

Now is the time to re-engage, re-imagine and re-start the Ministry Team Concept here at Grace Church! Check out the chart above to see brief descriptions of each Team. Prayerfully consider how your experience, your creative ideas, your extra time, your joy, your energy can make a difference in our church, our community and our world.
On Sunday morning - July 17th and July 24th - following worship, everyone will have the opportunity to sign up for a Team. If you watch worship online, or if you prefer, you can sign up for a Team by clicking here. Signup for Grace UMC Ministry Teams

If you have questions, please contact the people spearheading this effort: Pastor Jen, Marsha Mower, Brad Wallace, Dean Fitch or Peggy Johnson
Sunday mornings we have returned to live streaming our Sunday services, but we realize that there are still some issues popping up some Sundays. On our website you can usually watch the recorded service after 10:30am or so. There is a link to our site at the end of this newsletter.
We continue to work on making the online experience better and appreciate both your grace and feedback as we make improvements. Soon, we will be updating our internet capabilities and are hopeful that this will fix some of the issues.
We are grateful to be able to offer our services online and appreciate any gifts received to help this ministry grow and continue.

The world is filled with uncertainty, and we need to consider how best to keep our church members and staff safe. Beginning June 26th, on Sunday mornings, after 9am, the only door that will be open as an entrance will be the main front doors leading into the Narthex. It does not seem wise to have as many open doors that we cannot monitor. We will not lock the other doors until worship has begun, and all of the doors will still work to go out.
During the week, our office hours will remain the same, but to enter you will need to be let in. Ring the doorbell and we will let you in.
Membership at Grace

A couple people have expressed an interest in joining the church. I am trying to determine if there is a need for a class. Please reach out to me (Pastor Jen), if you want to join the church and we can make a plan for what that looks like for you!
If you have something that should be added to this newsletter from your group or mission, please speak with Pastor Jen or email the details to her at pastorjen@tds.net. The E-Grace is generally completed by noon on Thursdays, so articles need to be given to me by Thursday morning at the very latest.
If you wish to connect with me directly and it is not an emergency, please know that I will respond as needed during pretty regular office hours. I am in the church most weekdays from at least 10-12, call ahead to be sure, as my weeks vary. Ann has my detailed schedule and can find me if needed.
