The Entire Room Erupted 👏

At a recent gathering in Washington, D.C., Margaret Luculano, President and visionary behind the Christian Employers Alliance (CEA), shared something that made me want to stand up and cheer. I settled for applauding.

Margaret said the newly released Biblical Business Index (BBI) was already drawing national attention — including an op-ed published in a major national publication arguing that the BBI was wrong and using 13 Bible verses to challenge it.

I was one of only a few people in the room who immediately started clapping.

Not because I agreed with the criticism.

But because I understood what it meant.

Margaret paused, smiled, and explained it even further:

When national voices openly opposed to biblical values feel compelled to engage with Scripture publicly in order to challenge a Christian business movement, it means something significant is happening.

At that point, the entire room erupted in applause.

Why?

Because for years many Christian business leaders have quietly wondered whether standing publicly for biblical values in the marketplace mattered.

The reaction to the Biblical Business Index answered that question loudly.

It does.

One of the greatest strengths of the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce is the relationships and strategic partnerships being built across this nation to strengthen Christian business leaders.

Our friends and strategic partners at the Christian Employers Alliance (CEA) are a classic example. Their new 2026 Federal Biblical Business Index evaluates all 535 members of Congress through a biblically grounded framework focused on faith, family, religious liberty, and the future of the marketplace.

Their work is helping Christian employers better understand how public policy is shaping business, culture, and the freedoms that directly impact faith-driven organizations across America.

In their recent national update, CEA also reflected on their experience at SWC 2026 and shared this powerful statement:

“Gatherings like SWC are the relational backbone of the sacred marketplace.”

We are deeply honored by those words — but even more encouraged by what they represent.

What stood out most in their message was this observation:

“Christian employers are not asking whether they should stand. They are asking how to stand well.”

That matters.

The marketplace is rapidly becoming one of the most important mission fields of our time, and partnerships like these are helping equip leaders with both community and practical tools to navigate what lies ahead.

As part of this growing alliance, members of the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce and participating chambers within the Christian Chamber Coalition are also invited to activate membership access and strategic benefits through the Christian Employers Alliance.

This partnership helps connect Christian business leaders with:

• Legal and religious liberty protections

• Government relations and policy advocacy

• Access to the Biblical Business Index (BBI)

• Opportunities to engage directly with lawmakers

• Additional resources designed to help faith-driven businesses operate boldly and biblically in today’s marketplace

We believe partnerships like this matter deeply because Christian business leaders should not have to navigate these challenges alone.

We encourage you to explore our partnership with CEA.

This is not just about commerce.

It is about stewardship, influence, and Kingdom impact.

The report found median attendance climbed from 45 in 2021 to 70 in 2025, surpassing even pre-pandemic levels (65).
