This week I will discuss some of the reasons that people have and continue to buy second homes in Florida. Especially focussing on Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding area.

Beaches! White sandy beaches. You can be at 4 different beaches within minutes. Siesta Key beach is ranked as the #1 beach in the USA.
WEATHER! Especially the winter months. The population of Sarasota grows approx 50% during the winter months. The season begins just after the new year and goes until tax day April 15th or after Easter. Even though more and more people have chosen to live here year round the second home owners mostly visit during the season.
Culture and the Arts. Sarasota has many cultural activities including the opera, theatre, art galleries, symphony and Ringling museum.
Dining. We have many dining options and many unique and rich cultural restaurants. From fine dining to chain restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory, Sarasota has it all.
Golf. Sarasota and surrounding areas have over 60+ golf courses to choose from with different levels of membership, cost and difficulty of the course.
Boating and water access. Paddle boarding, boating, Kayaking, fishing, swimming and laying on a float in the Gulf are just some of my favorite water activities in Sarasota. We are also known for homes with deep water access for those larger sailboats and vessels.
Community. Sarasota/Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch are all known for a sense of community and are very family friendly. Sarasota used to be nick named "heavens waiting room" but now the average age is late 50's early 60's. There is truly something for all ages!
REAL ESTATE! We have gorgeous real estate ranging from waterfront estates, condos on the golf course to an equestrian property with acreage.
