Prince Pappy arrived at HSHA after he was found dragging a long wire rope with a corkscrew metal tie-out stake attached. He likely escaped being tethered, and was severely underweight. His head looked sunken in, and his ribs and spine were painfully prominent.
Our medical team placed him on a careful refeeding plan, helping him regain strength one day at a time. Despite everything, he reminds us how resilient animals can be when given kindness and patience.
Today he looks like a completely different dog, with a new confidence and zest for life. Because of support from events like this and people like you, Prince Pappy, once sad and scared, is now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever family.
