FROM NORTH YORK WOMEN'S CENTRE: COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY
During the pandemic, digital connection and virtual work have become vital. However, there are many people with digital access barriers, such as not owning a device, having no internet access or limited digital literacy. Because of our commitment to accessibility, we have started a tablet-lending library to bridge this gap.

This initiative allows women and non-binary folks to borrow a data-enabled device so our programs and services remain accessible to them. While we hope to return to more in-person programming soon, we will continue to offer a hybrid experience for those who need us. We encourage you to spread the word to anyone who would benefit from our organization but does not have access to digital devices. Get in touch with us for more information.
REMEMBRANCE AND ACTION
NATIONAL DAY FOR REMEMBRANCE AND ACTION ON VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
Join us as we remember the 14 women killed in an act of misogyny and violence on December 6, 1989, and all those who have experienced gender-based violence.

Learn how to become an activist in your own community and join the movement to end gender-based violence in Canada. Guest speakers include activists Leighann Burns and Sheri Buck, filmmaker Nicole Bedford and artist Mariana Hernandez.
REFLECTING AND LOOKING AHEAD
NYWC'S 32nd ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Our 2021 AGM will be a virtual opportunity to meet our board, staff, program participants and supporters. Learn about what's been happening this year and what we have to look forward to in 2022.

We will announce three nominees for election to the Board, with time to ask the current board members questions.

USE YOUR VOICE
BECOMING A MEMBER
An NYWC membership is a free, exciting role to have as we advance equality and empower women to effect positive change.

Use your voice to guide NYWC, elect board members and endorse our vision and mission. We encourage current and past program participants, service users, volunteers, staff, contractors, donors, partners and anyone who supports the work we do to become a member.
SOCIAL HIGHLIGHT
November 30th marked Giving Tuesday, a day to come together and make an impact in our community through donations and support.

Thank you to everyone who donated for enabling us to offer free programs and services for women in need of support, by women who are here to help.
