Hey Let's Play!
Lessons from Flint
Twice a day I feel a cold wet nudge on my thigh. Cold and wet from his nose, but the nudge comes from Flint, our rescue puppy.
He is holding one of his favorite toys and his eyes say, “Hey, let’s play!” I don’t resist, even though I think I should, and grab hold of one end and Flint does the rest.
Pulls, growls and digs in. I hold on for the ride.
After a few minutes, out of breath with a smile on my face, I settle back behind my desk and feel refreshed! What ever was clogging my brain has been rooted out and a new perspective has taken over. That simple time out increased my productivity!
Take some time to play today. If only for a few minutes. It is what your brain needs to reset, refocus and attack what is stunting your day.
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing!” - George Bernard Shaw
