Dear Friends,
As we look into Mark 7:1-23, Jesus reminds us that true faith is not measured by outward appearances or religious habits, but by the condition of our hearts. The religious leaders were devoted to tradition, yet Jesus lovingly exposed that their hearts had drifted from God’s intent.
As the Port Naz family, this passage invites us to pause and reflect. Our worship, generosity, and service matter—but they must flow from hearts fully surrendered to Christ. Jesus teaches that what truly shapes our lives does not come from the outside in, but from the inside out. Only He can cleanse, renew, and transform the heart.
May we continue to be a church that honors God not only with our words and practices, but with hearts marked by humility, love, and obedience. As you join me for Worship this Sunday, let’s invite Jesus to search us, shape us, and lead us deeper into a genuine relationship with Him. Let’s partner with King David, and pray…Create in me a clean heart, O God, Psalm 51:10.
You are loved!
Pastor Mark
