Here is an Update on Watering Tips!

Normally, at this time of year, we would be getting a lot of rain. For some reason, however, this year has had a lot less rain.

Our technicians typically recommend following your city ordinance, or watering about twice a week. The goal is about an inch of water per zone in order for your lawn to remain healthy!

If you are unsure of how much water your lawn is getting, we recommend putting a rain gauge in the areas of concern to help keep track of how much water is actually going into your lawn.

^Lawn with drought damage^

Grubs are not active at this time of year, so if you have noticed browning in your lawn around this time, it is most likely drought damage. See pictures for comparisons.

Even if you are watering as recommended by your city ordinance, drought damage can still be present in your lawn.

This is because we have not been receiving as much rain as we normally would this time of year, which is resulting in higher temperatures and lawns getting dry faster.

To help combat this, we recommend watering your lawn in the early morning. This will prevent the water from being evaporated too soon and should help keep your lawn hydrated.

**This memo is for our customers that pay with checks!**

Our billing department has been noticing that when we deposit the checks we are receiving, we have been getting notifications from the banks that funds are being withheld. This is mostly happening with Wells Fargo, but other banks as well.

If payments fail to go through, it can result in services being held off or getting out of sync. We recommend that ALL of our customers that regularly pay with checks double check with their banks as they make these transactions in order to avoid this.

We would also like to take this time to let our customers know that we are working on going paperless!

With our new system that we have been working with, it has allowed us to upgrade our invoices to to digital rather than on paper. This should help clear up communications with our customers, and provide a more in-depth description of what has been done after services are completed.

This also means that we will be emailing our communications in the near future!

If you have not already, please provide us with a valid email address that you check regularly so that we can include you in this transition!

This is a friendly reminder that we always have a 10% discount for veterans and first responders!

Thank you for your service!
