FROM THE DIRECTORS...
Greetings!
When Allysa, a member of Chabad of Rockivlle's new Young Jewish Professional group (YJP), waved goodnight to our family after a beautiful Shavuot dinner, she said, " I really needed to be with other like-minded Jews tonight. Thank you. With all the hate in my Instagram feed and everything going on in Israel, it's been a tough week. Had I not come tonight, I'd probably be eating dinner alone in my apartment with my non-Jewish roommates, trying to explain to them the holiday of Shavuot and fighting to defend Israel!". Special moments like these are our inspiration to do what we do…why we started Chabad of Rockville in the first place…and why we know caring folks like you support our work.
In advance of our mid-year fundraising campaign, supporting programs like YJP and other 'Big Impact' programs of Chabad of Rockville, would like to we are taking this opportunity to acknowledge the trailblazing leadership of our campaign matching donors and their outstanding vision for the Jewish community here in Rockville. Thank you, Jamie and Joseph Baldinger, Yvaonne and Barry Cohen, Ilana and Daniel Ratner, Stella and Samy Ymar, and Cindy and Rick Zidelman for your exceptional generosity. We also honor our dear Chabad of Rockville friends Ellen and Stuart Lessans, benefactors of the Lessans Family Mommy and Me and pillars in our community, for their beyond generous offer to further match every dollar donated during the campaign twofold until our goal is reached.
