A Note From Our Executive Director

The power is back on in time for Homecoming Week at Sonoma Valley High School! You might notice a lot of activity around town this week as high school students prepare for Homecoming festivities. We encourage you to visit the Plaza tonight to see the lighting of City Hall to kick off the celebrations! In addition to Homecoming events, all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students took the PSAT this week. This was a great opportunity for students to practice and have first-hand experience with what the SAT is like, at no cost to them!

Don’t miss the Friends and Family event at Benziger and Imagery Wineries on November 6th, benefiting the Education Foundation. They are generously donating $1 for every bottle purchased during the event, so get out there and support our schools!

And if you have the opportunity to attend the Mentoring Alliance’s Cuban Party on Oct 26, there are only a few tickets left! The Mentoring Alliance provides an important service to our students. The majority of students who are nominated for a mentor are selected by the school district staff, and there are fully-staffed Mentor Centers located in many of our schools. See you at the party!
