Former New York City Schools Chancellor, Deputy Mayor and now President and CEO of the Queens Public Library, Dennis has spent his entire career in public service and education. The Queens Public Library is one of the nation’s largest public library systems with 66 locations in the most diverse urban area in the world. Dennis’ career spent in service and leading change in large and complex organizations gives him a unique vantage point on nonprofit leadership. Dennis’ service on the board of Bloomberg Philanthropies also gives him a seat and a view from the other side of the table that few nonprofit CEOs ever get.
