The Wicker Park Farmers Market
Date:  June 4th through October 29th 
Time:  Sundays, 8am to 2pm
Location: Wicker Park proper on Damen Ave., between Schiller St. & Wicker Park Ave.
The Wicker Park Farmers Market will kick off another season on Sunday, June 4th, 2017! Local vendors will be offering all the best in handmade and homegrown to get the summer started right. Our fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and flowers will be anything but garden-variety. The market is a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to learn about the food we eat from the farm to our table, straight from the farmer's mouth. 
Alkaline Batteries Recycling
Where:  WPBCC, 1414 N. Ashland
Our office is now proud to accept your single-use alkaline batteries for recycling! We are open 9am-5pm Monday - Friday.
 For rechargeable battery recycling, feel free to stop  by our neighbor Lowe's at 1360 N. Ashland.

June Networking Mixer at Subterranean
When:  June 7, 2017, 6-8pm
Where:  Subterranean, 2011 W North Ave

New Neighborhood SAFETY & SECURITY Rebate Programs
After consulting with SSA #33 taxpayers and neighborhood stakeholders over the past six months, as well as engaging a public quality-of-life consultant ( Responsible Hospitality Institute President & Founder Jim Peters), WPB SSA #33 has updated its previous graffiti abatement rebate program to include a range of safety-related rebates
  • Security cameras 
  • Exterior lighting 
  • Anti-smash glass film 
  • Window repair 
  • Graffiti removal 
  • Private security

  • The new rebates are for eligible properties within the boundaries of WPB SSA #33, and will reimburse 50 percent of the cost of one or more of these neighborhood safety measures, up to $1,000 per measure annually, per location. Private security reimbursements are eligible for up to $2,500 annually, per location.

However, there are FREE energy-efficiency items available to you through ComEd, whether you're in a single-family or multi-family building, or own a small business!
