Wild Argentine Red Shrimp are naturally caught from the icy cold, clean waters just off Argentina, giving them a delicate texture and a sweet taste of the sea. These tender, wild, cold-water shrimps require minimal cooking and are beautiful just lightly grilled or sautéed in a pan over low heat.

Cook's Note: Whatever your preparation technique with "Argentine Reds", cooking time is slightly faster as compared to other species of shrimp. Keep the shell on when cooking with high heat to help retain moisture.

EASY GARLIC BUTTER SHRIMP
Ingredients

  • 1 pound Red Shrimp thawed
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • kosher salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large sauté pan over medium to medium-high heat, melt two tablespoons of butter. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes Cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant, do not allow garlic to burn.
  • Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook for about 90 seconds, then turn and cook for 90 seconds more.
  • Add the other 2 tablespoons of butter, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute, or until butter is melted. Stir in parsley. Remove from heat.
