EGG-cellent Family Fun !

We're wild about our annual celebration of Wild Eggs, and we're not fooling when we tell ya it's happening on Saturday, April 1st!

Take your pick of a morning or afternoon session, and come ready to hunt all things spring at whatever pace works for your family (this is a non-competive event).

  • Watch our skunk and opossum take turns finding eggs.
  • Snap a photo with our wildlife-ambassador bunny.
  • Enoy a paint-a-cookie craft, and take home other goodies in your very own reusable bag.

When: Sat., April 1 - Sessions starting at 10 AM & 1 PM

Plein Air Painting Workshop starting Saturday, April 15
Plein Air Painting Workshop at Trexler Nature Preserve

Led by Anthony Smith, artist and rofessor of art at Northampton Area Community College, and David Sommers, resident artist at the Banana Factory, this workshop series is open to all skill levels and will use oil and acrylic as the primary medium to teach the skills and techniques to paint the landscapes at Trexler Nature Preserve.

Students will learn to approach the outdoors with new skills on how to simplify the landscape, how to create a thumbnail sketch for plein air painting, and how to use edges to create the illusion of distance and atmosphere to get the effect you want.

When & Where: Starts Sat., April 15. with classes running Sat. mornings at Trexler and Mon. evenings at Midnight Gallery in Schnecksille. For full workshop details, visit the event page online.
