MESQUITE PROCESSING PARTY (photo taken in 2021)

Hi friends,

You are invited to a workshop this Sunday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 at my home. We will process mesquite beans for one and a half hours--removing twigs and bagging them. Everyone around the table doing a shared task--the chatting never stops!

Benefits: Learn when and how to harvest, how to store to prevent bugs, how to mill into flour, and how to make tea. You'll get to enjoy some wild food treats while you're working, along with prickly pear tea.

I will get help with processing 240 pounds of mesquite beans--you will learn--a win-win situation.

Mesquite Milling Demonstration: I will present this during the last half hour.

You do not need to bring a physical ticket to the workshop/party.

I will email you my address and confirm your ticket via email. Please add me to your contact list so I will show up in your inbox.

The cost will be $10. Then when you come to my home, I will give you $10 cash back. So, it is actually free.

Here is the Eventbrite Ticket Link

Second Event on September 25th:

Prickly Pear Harvesting

Sunday, Sept. 25th, in Mesa at 4:30. I need three motivated, strong people who can lift a 30-pound bucket !  Also, you'll need to sign a liability waiver.

This will NOT be an Eventbrite listing as I always get too many people signing up. I will select a few to attend from e-mails sent to me at info@cactuskelly.com.

Please send me an e-mail about why you'd like to help harvest. I'll let you know if there is still room to attend.

With gratitude,

Kelly
