An unhappy first for our Youth Water Summit

Severe weather forced cancellation

For the first time in its 13 year history, the 5th Grade Youth Water Summit had to be cancelled due to heavy weather forecasted for Tuesday May 21st.

Despite many hours of scrambling the day before to set up indoor locations for the presentations, the high winds and constant rain forecasted for Tuesday meant the the boats couldn't be on the water and all those students would still get soaked moving across the fairgrounds between each session.

Click here for more information on next year's Youth Water Summit.

The Youth Water Summit committee wants to thank the many volunteers, teachers, students, organizers, fairgrounds crew, and sponsors who put so much effort into making this event possible. We look forward to working with you all again next year!
