The Joint City-County Commission Special Meeting includes the following Wild Spaces & Public Places agenda item:
With the new Countywide Infrastructure Surtax, which went into effect January 1st, 2023, the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners made grant funding available to the City of Gainesville.
City staff proposes utilizing Infrastructure Grant Funding for the following projects and their respective amounts:
- Thelma A. Boltin Center Renovations: $1,500,000
- 8th and Waldo: $1,000,000
- Sweetwater Wetlands Park Visitor Center: $500,000
- NE 31st Ave. Trail from NE 15th St. to Waldo Rd.: $333,333
