ACES Ed Fall Update
This fall, ACES Education continues to strengthen our partnerships and programs in the communities of New Castle, Silt, Rifle, Parachute and Battlement Mesa. The Inspired Stewards Internship offers paid work to high school students in Re-2 and Re-16 school districts, while engaging them in career explorations in environmental science, sustainable agriculture, education and other related fields.

ACES Education also celebrates the fall with a wide range of family learning events . In both our annual Creepy Crawly Night and kindergarten Beaver Night programs, ACES students become the teachers by sharing their ecological expertise about animal adaptations in beavers, bats, snakes, spiders and other local members of our "more than human" community.

ACES Education also helped support local youth by offering activities and workshops in conscious leadership for young adults at Aspen's Lead with Love conference. This was a wonderful opportunity for ACES to share models of cooperative leadership and ecological awareness with students from 8-14 years old in both an outdoor and classroom setting.

Rock Bottom Ranch Winter Hours
During the winter season, natural cycles slow down. Trees lose their leaves, animals hibernate & the valley is blanketed in snow. To reflect this quieter time of year, ACES at Rock Bottom Ranch is adjusting its winter visiting hours to 9AM - 5PM on Fridays beginning November 1st through the end of February.

Each Friday, visitors are invited to the Ranch to explore, meet the animals, walk along our eco-ed trail, learn about our regenerative agriculture model, purchase Rock Bottom Ranch products, and join us for a Farm Tour at 11AM. Winter farm tours offer a chance to compare the vibrancy of the summer to the slower, quiet pace of the winter season.

This change will allow ACES to expand educational programming throughout the Roaring Fork Valley , as well as in the Re-2 school district. All ACES Education programming at the Ranch will run as scheduled, as well as community events including ACES' annual visit from Sven the Elf !
