Mark Your Calendars! This school year's Wild for Orange is set for Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Pinstripes in Pinecrest . The annual fundraiser for Orange City School District, this premier event raises money that is used to fund a variety of initiatives throughout the district -- from STEM and physical ed equipment and clubs, to teacher programs and resources. We hope you join the hundreds of Orange staff, parents, community members and supporters who attend.
Wild for Orange: Discounted Tickets & Looking for Volunteers

We are again offering pre-sale discounted tickets on our WEBSITE from now through January 31, 2019. Regular priced tickets go on sale beginning February 1st.

In the meantime, the committees have started working to make this year's event a roaring success. We are looking for volunteers who can give a little time with securing sponsors, planning the auction, and helping with marketing. OHS Chemistry Teacher Jon Rice Q&A
We recently caught up with Jon Rice to talk about the grant he submitted for a Fume Hood to enhance the learning of his chemistry students.
Q: What did you request for in your grant proposal?
A: A big screen television, Apple TV and GoPro camera.
 Q: How did you envision this equipment would assist in promoting innovative student learning in your classroom?
A: We had an issue using our Fume Hood in chemistry presentations. It is a protective place where we can watch and learn through chemical demonstrations. Continue Reading

Whole Foods Day of Giving Raises $5,000+
In September, Whole Foods Pinecrest chose Orange Schools Foundation as the benefactor of it's Community Giving Day Program. We are excited to share that Whole Foods presented us with a check in the amount of $5,240.55 ! Per their direction, the generous contribution will be placed in an unrestricted fund for grant requests.
