Student Veterans Association Meeting
Attention all Military-Affiliated students! The Student Veteran Association will be hosting our first meeting of the spring semester this Friday, February 7th, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m at Old Chicago on Santa Fe Ave. We welcome you to join us for a chance to reacquaint yourselves with the military affiliated community and meet the new Cabinet Officers for the SVA.
Chili Cook-Off
K-State Polytechnic's annual Chili Cook off is this Friday! Come taste some delicious chili from 11:00 - 1:00 in the Tech Center. Chili entries are also being taken in the categories of "Tickle Your Tastebuds" (Mild), "Warm n' Fuzzy" (Medium) and "Melt Your Face Off" (Hot). If you're interested in entering your chili, bring registration forms to Student Support Services in College Center 208 no later than February 3rd. This event is open to K-State Polytechnic students, faculty, staff and alumni.
SGA Ice Cream Social
Tuesday, February 4th, the K-State Polytechnic Student Governing Association will be hosting an open meeting. SGA would like to invite all students to this first open meeting. They will be having an ice cream social prior to the meeting. The social will begin at 8:00 p.m. and all are invited to stay after for the meeting. We hope you will take this opportunity to attend!
Student Pilot Learning Community
Two of our illustrious aviation students are once again offering a "Student Pilot Learning Community". This is primarily an opportunity for our private pilot students, but all pilot students are welcome. The purpose of the learning community is to provide a place for students to ask questions related to their coursework and/or flight training. Robert Weesner and Satoru Okada, both CFIs and members of the Flight Team, will be leading these sessions.

Poverty Simulation
K-State Polytechnic is inviting students to participate in a Poverty Simulation at Kansas Wesleyan University on February 29th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. This simulation is aimed to show people the realities of living below the poverty line during an eye-opening three hour experience. The event is free for students but they are encouraged to register beforehand here

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is now accepting scholarship applications. Must have a 2.5 college GPA or better.

The Society of Women Engineers is offering scholarships to females majoring in engineering.

Jimmy Rane Scholarship
The Jimmy Rane Foundation is offering scholarships to students with a minimum 2.75 college GPA. Must be born on or after August 1, 2000.

Military Children
The Fisher House offers scholarships to the children of military members/veterans. College GPA of 2.5 or higher is required

Aviation Students
The Bob Stuart Memorial Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship to a student majoring in aviation. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA
