Under the grant, the Applied Aviation Research Center  on the  Polytechnic Campus will be collaborating with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, the Riley County Police Department and the Kansas City Police Department in Missouri to evaluate small unmanned aircraft remote sensing technologies to reconstruct crime scenes. 
An initiative of the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, Project Open provides entrepreneurs the opportunity to take two free business training classes taught by K-State Polytechnic faculty Jan. 29-30.
Campus life
Get your tastebuds ready! The Chili Cook-off has been set for Friday, Feb. 8 and any K-State Polytechnic student, faculty or staff member, or alumnus may enter. The registration form, along with a $10 entry fee, is due Feb. 4 by 5 p.m.
Calling all aviation enthusiasts! The Radio Control Club on the Polytechnic Campus is hosting its annual Fun Fly on Saturday, Jan. 26 for indoor free flight and radio controlled aircraft.
The technology was installed in October 2017 as part of a larger energy savings program and in the first year of operation, has saved the SLC more than 47,000 kilowatt hours of energy. That equates to almost $6,000 in savings for electric costs.

Military Children

Employee Tuition Assistance

Dependent/Spouse Grant
Dependents and spouses of full-time (0.9 FTE or above), benefits eligible, regular appointment employees may qualify for the dependent/spouse grant – up to 7 hours for full-time, undergraduate dependents and 3 hours for spouses and graduate dependents.
