Dear Saint Andrew Catholic School Families,

Time sure does fly especially at the start of each new school year. It is hard to believe that we are more than half-way through September and a little more than half-way through the first quarter.

Progress Reports for the 1st Quarter were emailed to the parents of all 1st – 8th Grade students this afternoon. Progress reports are a snapshot of your students’ performance in each of their classes at this time. Please check FACTS/RenWeb for the most up-to-date grades. If you have questions regarding your students’ grades or progress, please email the specific teacher directly. There are still four weeks left in the quarter, which ends on Friday, October 8th.

This weekend during all Masses, Fr. Jim will be speaking about the Second Spring Capital Campaign, which is already off to a fantastic start! There will be student readers and we are asking that all students wear their full dress/Mass uniform to whichever Mass they attend this weekend. We want our fabulous students, their families, and their commitment to Catholic education to be front and center. Thank you in advance for your support!

Next Thursday, September 23rd, is North Texas Giving Day (NTXGD)! Donating to SAS on NTXGD is a great way to support our Annual Fund as all funds collected on this day are dedicated to the Annual Fund. Please find more information on NTXGD below in this newsletter and remember to Get Up and Give!

Dismissal Reminders: We need your help to ensure that the morning and afternoon carlines run safely and smoothly. Please be sure to pull up close (about 3 feet) from the car in front of you when pulling up in the line. We need to get 12 cars in the pick-up/drop-off line in front of the school. When cars are not pulled all the way forward, the cars at the end of the line cannot be seen by students nor can we safely load or unload students to cars that are next to the construction fence. Please follow the directive of faculty/staff members who are trying to guide drivers as they pull forward. This not only helps keep our students safe, but also allows the line to move more efficiently. Thank you!

I pray you and your families have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing our Wildcats at Mass this weekend!

Blessings,
Principal

North Texas Giving Day
Save the Date
Donations to Saint Andrew Catholic School on the NTXGD website are allocated to the SAS Annual Fund. If you haven’t made your Annual Fund donation or pledge, this is a great time to do so.

You don't have to wait until next week! The North Texas Giving Day website is currently active and accepting donations. We are fortunate that SAS has already received 13 donations totaling $8,975!  All donations received between now and September 23rd will help Saint Andrew receive bonus funds and qualify us to win cash prizes.

Please consider helping us achieve our North Texas Giving Day goal of $50,000, which moves us closer to the Annual Fund goal of $230,000 and 100% SAS Family participation. Every donation, regardless of the amount, benefits the students of SAS.

Go to https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/saint-andrew-catholic-school to make your donation now!

Spiritual Life Committee Marian Statue Program
Home and School’s Spiritual Life Committee at SAS offers two blessed statues to its families, a Statue of Rosa Mystica and an Immaculate Heart of Mary Statue.

Each week, from a Wednesday afternoon to the following Wednesday morning, two families have the opportunity to take one of these statues home to use as a source of inspiration, prayer and reflection. The tote bag containing the statue also contains suggested prayers. This special tradition will hopefully be one full of meaning and faith for each of you. Pick up and drop off location is the SAS Front Office.
