November 17, 2023

Dear Saint Andrew Catholic School Families,

Happy Friday and the start of the Thanksgiving break!

Early Giving for #iGiveCatholic is happening NOW leading up to Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 28th. All #iGiveCatholic donations support the 2023-2024 Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund immediately serve our students and their growth in the current school year. Your gift supports every aspect of the school, including classroom resources, tuition assistance, faculty development, campus improvements, and extracurricular activities. Last year, Saint Andrew Catholic School was in the top 12 out of 1500 non-profits nation-wide and the top school in the diocese of Fort Worth as far as total funds raised, with a total of $136,000! Please help us meet or beat that amount this year and Get Up and Give on Giving Tuesday for #iGiveCatholic!

Second Quarter Progress Reports were emailed to families today. Please contact your students’ teacher(s) directly with any questions or concerns.

We will not be attending Mass as a school on Wednesday, November 29th, but will be attending First Friday Mass on Friday, December 1st. Students may wear their regular uniforms on that Wednesday and must wear their Full Dress/Mass uniforms on Friday. We will also be celebrating and speaking about Saint Andrew during First Friday Mass as his feast day is on Thursday (11/30).

If you haven’t already, please Save the Dates for the following:

  • SAS Band Program on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00PM in the gym. ALL Band members are required to attend and participate.

  • SAS Kindergarten – 6th Grade Music & Choir Christmas Program on Tuesday, December 12th at 6:00PM in the church. All Kindergarten – 6th Grade Music & Choir students are required to attend and participate.

  • SAS 5th & 6th Grade Performing Arts Class Performance of Bah Humbug, on Friday, December 15th at 6:00PM in the gym. All 5th & 6th Grade Performing Arts students are required to attend and participate.

  • ***As well, out of respect for all who will be performing and because students may have parts at the beginning and end of the programs, students MUST stay for the entirety of the show/program in which they are participating.***

Please be sure to check the calendar for the many upcoming events when we return from Thanksgiving break. There is so much happening at SAS as we move to the end of the semester, and we look forward to seeing you all on campus as we welcome the season of Advent.

I pray that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving break filled with family, friends, and food. May God continue to bless you and our entire SAS community.

Saint Andrew, Pray for Us!

Blessings,

Laura Behee, M.Ed.

Principal
