Ventilation Project Phase Two | | |
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to improve our facilities. Our completion date for this summer’s phase remains on track, and we anticipate minimal (if any) impact to back-to-school events and start dates. We look forward to the entire project being completed in mid-August 2026.
Please note that our high school building will be closed beginning Friday, May 22 at 5:00 PM. The building will remain closed throughout the summer with the exception of the High School Gym, Auxiliary Gym, and Performing Arts Center (PAC), which will still be available for scheduled use through our Community Education Department. During this time, we will have a few temporary relocations:
- Our District Office staff will be located at Prairie Woods Elementary for the summer.
- Our Community Education Office will operate out of the Middle School Office area.
- Summer school programming will run out of our Prairie Woods Elementary building.

On March 31, the Bakken Museum visited our Performing Arts Center to present an assembly for our 4th and 5th grade students.
Through a partnership with Great River Energy, the Bakken Museum brought their popular program focused on electricity, magnetism, and power generation to our students. The 45-minute presentation combined science and storytelling, highlighting the historic rivalry between Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla in the race to shape our electrical future.
Students witnessed exciting, hands-on demonstrations including a 5-foot-tall Tesla Coil that sent lightning-like sparks snaking through the air which created a memorable and engaging learning experience.
“Our kids really enjoyed it,” shared MS Principal Leah Zimmerman.
