Indoor Air Quality Construction Project Update | |
New London-Spicer Schools partnered with Site LogIQ to prepare for the Air Quality, Roofing and Infrastructure project throughout the district’s facilities. This construction project will impact our summer programming. We will continue to share construction updates with our families as they become available. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding throughout this project.
Our staff will begin preparing their classrooms by packing items that are non-essential for the remainder of the school year. We will be securely storing these items throughout the construction process.
Beginning on May 28, our Prairie Woods Elementary building and our Prairie Meadows Early Childhood Education building will be closed for construction and no access will be granted. Also, beginning on May 28, our High School/Middle School building will have certain areas that will be closed for construction. We will have access to our outside facilities, our HS Gyms (Main and Aux), the Performing Arts Center/Lobby, District Conference Room, and the HS, MS, and CE Offices. However, we anticipate that there could be interruptions such as; noise, internet/technology issues, water outages, etc. caused by construction.
We plan to continue our Community Education summer programming, summer athletics, and summer childcare. We will share specific updates regarding summer programming in the near future. Click here to read more.

Glenn Miller Orchestra
A legend lives on...Glenn Miller was one of the most sucessful of all dance bandleaders back in the swing era of the 1930's-50's. Today, this 18 member ensemble continues to play many of the original Miller arrangements and some more modern selections arranged and performed in the Miller style and sound. Just as it was in Glenn's day ,the Glenn Miller Orchestra is still the most sought after big band in the world.
EXTRA SPECIAL! For this event, members of our own NLS Jazz Ensemble will collaborate with the Glenn Miller Orchestra for one of their selections.

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Championship will be held in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center from April 16-19, 2025. With a focus on practical skills and drills, participants will gain techniques they can use in their backyard, during team practices, or on their own.
This year’s camp will be even bigger and better, featuring a live DJ to keep the energy high! Plus, parents are welcome to walk the track and capture live-action photos of their athletes in action. Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt and a swag bag to take home.
Spots are limited—only 125 per group—so don’t wait to register! The camp is just $75, making it an incredible opportunity to learn from top athletes while having fun.
| | The preschoolers in Ms. Janelle's class have been busy learning about construction vocabulary, exploring and drawing their own blueprints, using stem building supplies to make their own types of buildings. They even became "Boxitects" making their own buildings and creations using cardboard boxes. | | | On March 5 we celebrated Donuts with Dudes! The preschoolers were joined by their dads, uncles, grandpas and special friends for a morning of donuts, coffee, crafts, and building! A special THANK YOU to Home Depot for donating building kits for our preschoolers to build with their special guests and Melisa Kelley at Central MN Realty for the donuts! | | | Address: 101 4th Ave SW New London, MN 56273 | | | | | | |
