Your Donation is Worth Double During the Dollar for Dollar Match Campaign

The overall mission of the New London-Spicer Educational Foundation is to enhance the quality of education in our school district by helping to fund programs for the benefit of all NLS students.

Preparing our students for college, career, and life after high school was a focus of the Foundation last year. Funds were awarded to the Family and Consumer Science classes to help support the project-based, experiential, and student-guided learning that occurs. This course builds an essential knowledge base for all students whether they pursue the Culinary Arts and/or raise a family. We also supported an Elementary Robotics grant to enhance our STEM classes. These tools are used for coding, sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and fostering a love of robotics. STEM is a part of the elementary specialist classes.

We feel it is important to support innovative ways of learning that prepare our young people to make their mark on the world by utilizing new technology, exploring the arts, improving math and reading skills, and increasing the knowledge base of career and technical fields.

With your continued support we have provided over $150,000 to the NLS school district investing in engaging materials and innovative opportunities accelerating our students’ education above and beyond the standard. This year all donations (up to $50K) to our STEAM endowment will be generously matched by Bob and Connie Dickerson through their $1 for $1 Match Campaign!

Please consider giving a year-end tax-deductible gift towards our match campaign and support grant initiatives and merit scholarships for years to come! All donations are accepted with gratitude and excitement! How do I donate? Make checks payable to the NLS Educational Foundation and return by mail (PO BOX 58, New London, MN 56273) or make an online donation through our website: www.nls.k12.mn.us/foundationdonation
