December 12, 2025
| | Thank you to Kimco for decorating the Village Center! | |
The holiday spirit was bright at the Wilde Lake Village Center! Santa officially arrived on December 6th, marking a successful community event fueled by incredible collaboration.
We extend our sincere gratitude to:
-
Kimco Realty and Starbucks Wilde Lake Village Center (for their generous sponsorship and in-kind donation).
-
L&L Creations (for the fantastic Secret Santa shop).
-
Geoffrey "BJ" Curtis (for providing classic holiday cartoons).
-
Our amazing volunteers: Scouts of America Troop #649, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Wilde Lake High School students, and the WLCA staff! Thank you for making the day unforgettable!

The next show at the gallery is
Anne Calamuci's The Portrait’s Ability to Reveal
Anne Calmuci’s work in conceptual portrait photography is rooted in spirituality. She creates images that explore the inner life.
The series Ageless Creativity features 24 female artists ages 55–89. The series celebrates the female spirit and reminds us that women over a certain age are still imaginative, passionate, and full of life.
Ageless Creativity was created with LED flashlights using a technique called light painting. This process allows the painting of light to create a luminous, otherworldly atmosphere. Portraits can capture what cannot be spoken.
Anne enjoys creating images that invite the viewer to look beyond the surface.

Echoes of Light & Line
A two-artist exhibition featuring sisters Hima and Nishita Jain. Though their subjects differ—portraits and landscapes—their work shares a contemplative sensitivity and a reverence for quiet moments.
Experience the exhibition for yourself! It runs through December 15, 2025.

A Note from the Covenant Advisor
It has been a pleasure working with the residents of Wilde Lake for another year. I performed compliance inspections for almost 70 properties, processed over 100 Applications for Exterior Alteration, and investigated quite a few potential Covenants violations in 2025. Thank you to all the Wilde Lakers who participated in these processes in good faith.
A special thanks goes to my Resident Architectural Committee (RAC) members for their dedicated service to our village. The architectural control process would not work half as smoothly or as thoughtfully without these stalwart volunteers. Phil, Cheryl, Linda, Lonn, Steve - you're the best!
Due to WLCA's annual winter break, covenant services will be on pause from Monday, Dec. 22 until we reopen on Monday, Jan. 5. All applications, requests for compliance letters, and potential violations will be handled in the order received upon our return to the office. For details on the next RAC meeting and links to forms and other information, please see below.
My favorite part of my job is working with the people of Wilde Lake. This is a special place, and the life stories and talents of our residents never fail to amaze me, even though the nuts and bolts of my job may seem pretty dry to most.
Wishing you all a very happy holiday season and a wonderful start to your New Year! Lexi Levy Milani

| | Wilde Lake in the Community | |
The Columbia Association’s Natural Resource Management Plan (NRMP) Community Meeting on December 11th at Historic Oakland Manor was a success!
Residents had a direct opportunity to influence how we manage our forests, streams, and wildlife. This comprehensive NRMP will not only protect Columbia’s ecological health but also strengthen our community's climate resilience and support vital recreation and education.
Discussions were lively, with one focused group dedicated to designing effective Community Engagement Activities.
