FAC Updates
Late winter has been busy in the FAC office with more neighborhood leaders signing up and beginning the process to become Firewise.

Remember if you would like the California Conservation Corps to assist you during your workdays let us know so we can add you to their work schedule.

We are currently working with partners North Lake Tahoe Fire and Lake Valley Fire to present Defensible Space information in Spanish at our local Family Resource Centers. Ryan Dominguez, Fuels Prevention Specialist is also presenting on FAC to all Incline Middle School students.

FIREWISE YEARLY REQUIREMENTS

To maintain your Firewise recognition neighborhoods must take part in educational outreach each year. This does not have to be limited to Firewise leaders or Committee members, all neighbors can be invited!

This year and moving forward we are looking to provide our Firewise Neighborhoods with multiple educational opportunities including:

ONE Community Wildfire Preparedness Workshop in the spring and
ONE Firewise Workshop in the fall

Both events will be open to all visitors and residents within the Tahoe Basin.
