The WCDC is proud to extend a huge congratulations to our 2025 Core Four Workshop graduates!

We were honored to celebrate this year’s aspiring entrepreneurs at our annual graduation ceremony and cannot wait to see their businesses’ flourish!

Since its inception in 2015, the Core Four program has become a cornerstone of Wilkinsburg’s small business development efforts.

The Core Four course teaches aspiring and existing local business owners the fundamental skills they need to set themselves up for success. This free eight-week workshop creates a baseline in research, accounting and marketing and is offered in the spring and fall.

Facade Upgrades in the Business District!

We’re grateful to have been able to help four local small businesses renovate their facades and excited to share their new looks! 

Pittsburgh Pilates, Challenge Printing, 757 Penn Avenue and Nancy’s Revival each received funding for improvements through the WCDC’s Façade Renovation Program. Since 2009, the WCDC has facilitated 29 improvements totaling $240,000 in investment and allocating $120,000 in grant awards thanks to the PA Department of Community and Economic Development’s Keystone Communities Program, which is now part of the State’s Main Street Matters program.
