Are you Ready for Strategic Planning?
Budget shortfall? New clients? Board members confused? Staff feeling unmotivated? When faced with tough organizational questions, we often turn to strategic planning as the answer.
In this session you will explore when strategic planning can help, and when it's just a distraction. Each participant will complete a strategic planning assessment to consider your readiness for planning. During this session you'll also learn key components of great strategic plans. Finally, there will be plenty of time to share tips and tricks with other participants to create a successful strategic planning process.

Please join nearly 30 community partners as we bring the Urban Alliance team from Kalamazoo, Michigan to the Cedar Valley.
Personally, I was first inspired with the "Momentum Project" at the Future Ready Iowa Conference this past fall where they shared their local success. Since that conference, many of us have been meeting on a regular basis to leverage their expertise, and to begin to think about various strategies we could implement locally to create positive change. We are definitely invested in bringing this programming to the Cedar Valley! Following the community meetings and input, we will be developing a strategic process to move forward with the local launch! ~ Kaye Englin, President & CEO, CFNEIA
To learn more about this great project, you can visit their
website. The Urban Alliance team have generously offered to assist our community in the launch of this program, including sharing best practices and curriculum tools. We are SO grateful for their generous encouragement!
Please see all the event details
here, and share the invitation widely. There are three different opportunities for community input and learning together, as well as a targeted focus group to hear directly from our potential community program participants.
