Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship, in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord. Grant us grace so to follow your holy saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those unspeakable joys, which you have prepared for those who sincerely love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Call to Worship:



L: Welcome, friends, to this holy day.

P: We come to offer thanks; we come to sing and pray.

L: Welcome, friends, to this time set apart,

P: A time to remember those we love, and time to remember the holy promises of God.

L: Welcome, friends, to this table of remembrance and joy,

P: The table where we are fed, the feast we share with many.

All: Welcome, friends, and let us worship God.

We will be celebrating Communion together at the November 6th service. 

If you would like to receive communion at home, please contact the office, and we will make arrangements.

November 6th is our yearly "All Saints Service". We will be recognizing those who have passed away in the past year that were connected to Grace UMC or to a member here.

Our November missional giving is designated for the Lakes Area Food Shelf. This month the funds donated will be given to the food shelf specifically to support the Thanksgiving meal boxes that will be distributed by the food shelf.

There is a display table to leave a donation in the narthex, and sign-up opportunities to help in other ways in connection to the food shelf this month. If you are giving to this mission, please make note of it on your offering or check please.



Annual Church Charge Conference

Grace UMC will be taking part in the district-wide charge conference being held on November 17th from 630-8pm. This meeting will be held online. We will watch and participate together in the sanctuary at church. All members of Grace are invited, all committee leaders are encouraged to attend.

The newest edition of the Upper Room daily devotional is available for you to pick up in the Narthex.

The Upper Room is a beautiful addition or focus for your daily times of devotion.

Make a Joyful Noise!

Handbell ringers are meeting each Tuesday from 1030-1130am in the bell room. If you haven't played in a while or would like to learn, please join us! If you would like more information, please contact Ardie Morris.



Youth Group

We decorated pumpkins and are asking the congregation to vote for their favorites. All donations from the votes will be used in December when we will shop for a family that needs a bit of help at Christmas. Thank you!

Trunk or Treat was a fun day!

We estimate that 90 kids came through to trick or treat with us.

Firewood

If you are looking for firewood for the winter, have we got a bargain for you! An oak tree fell on the snowmobile trail on the church's north property two years ago. Wood from it was cut and split this week. It was loaded on the trailer that sits on the garage pad. Look it over.  

 A donation of $100 to the Grace Rummage Sale fund is the asking price. 

Sunday mornings we have returned to live streaming our Sunday services, but we realize that there are still some issues popping up some Sundays. On our website you can usually watch the recorded service after 10:30am or so. There is a link to our site at the end of this newsletter.

We continue to work on making the online experience better and appreciate both your grace and feedback as we make improvements. Soon, we will be updating our internet capabilities and are hopeful that this will fix some of the issues.

We are grateful to be able to offer our services online and appreciate any gifts received to help this ministry grow and continue.

*We are aware that we have had some streaming issues over the last few weeks, we are working on resolving the problem.

If you wish to connect with me directly and it is not an emergency, please know that I will respond as needed during pretty regular office hours. I am in the church most weekdays from at least 10-12, call the office to be sure, as my weeks vary. Ann has my detailed schedule and can find me if needed. I check my emails frequently throughout the day, and this is the best way to contact me.
